It’s Cool to Rescue Phish & Deadhead Stickers (10-pack) | Benefit for Pathways Animal Home Rescue
These 3”x3” holographic stickers come in a pack of 10, and are designed to raise awareness and support for Pathways Home Animal Rescue. As part of our charitable collection, 100% of the profits of the sale of these stickers will be donated to Pathways.
The stickers include a super cool Chihuahua with glasses reflecting either a Phish-inspired design with red donuts or a Grateful-dead inspired design with the 13-pointed bolt and red, white, and blue coloring. The words below state “It’s Cool to Rescue” because rescuing our two dogs, Ziggy and Ditto, was one of the coolest and best decisions we’ve made in our lives.
The Chihuahua is based on the bonded pair of dogs we adopted from Pathways, Ziggy and Ditto. These two pups are travelers and concert-goers just like we are. They’ve attended mostly Dead and Phish cover bands and festivals as well as many other jam band shows throughout the US, Costa Rica, and Portugal.
And we would never have found them if we didn’t sign up to foster dogs through Pathways Home Animal Rescue in 2020.
About Pathways Home Animal Rescue:
Pathways Home Animal Rescue rescues dogs from County shelters to keep them from being euthanized as well as helps reunite lost pets with their owners. Pathways often takes bonded pairs (like Ziggy and Ditto) that would otherwise be separated, senior dogs, pregnant dogs, and dogs that require a little more attention than County shelters can provide.
Each dog receives vet care, including vaccinations, alteration, microchips, and overall wellness treatment. When the dogs are healthy enough to be fostered, they always try to find volunteers to help the dogs acclimate to what life will be like with their forever family by fostering the rescue dogs in their homes. We first became involved with Pathways while fostering a senior pup until she found the perfect home. Our next fosters ended up being our best buds, Ziggy and Ditto.
Donations from the profits of these stickers will help Pathways provide necessary care for their rescued dogs.
The average cost of vet care for a dog from intake to adoption is $250. Each spay/neuter procedure costs $100, and the cost of vaccines for one dog is $50. Pathways currently has approximately $3,500 of vet bills that need to be covered, so every little bit helps!
We can’t imagine our lives without Ziggy and Ditto, which is why we want to create this design for our charitable collection.
